Exciting Weekend Adventures Await in Ashanti!
We’re thrilled to announce an effortless way for you to experience the beauty of our Ashanti region over the weekend! As you immerse yourself in the unexplored wonders of this area, you’ll also be supporting the Banko Women Organization.
The four of us had a fantastic stay at the hostel. Pat is mega friendly and enthusiastic. We booked the nature weekend and were able to swim at a waterfall, do two hikes and have a cooking class. Absolutely worth a visit!

The Schedule: Arrive at BWO Hostel on Friday evening and kick-start your adventure with a visit to a traditional memorial site on Saturday.
Explore the rich history of kente and cacao, and delve into the fascinating world of adinkra symbols. Cap off the day with a delightful BBQ feast!
Sunday offers the option to attend a local church service or embark on a memorable climb up the Holy Mountain (Atwea).

When: Every second and last weekend of the month for thrilling nature adventures!
The Schedule: Arrive at BWO Hostel on Friday evening to kick off your weekend getaway.
On Saturday, embark on a big hike at Bomfobiri nature park, immersing yourself in Ghana’s breathtaking natural beauty. Enjoy a scenic picnic at the falls and take part in a traditional cooking workshop in the afternoon.
Sunday brings a picturesque walk to the Mountain of Mercy, offering stunning views and a rewarding climb.

IS IT POSSIBLE FOR US TO BOOK A CUSTOMIZED (WEEKEND) TRIP IN ASHANTI?
Yes, of course it is! Let us know which highlights in the area you would like to see, or tell us your interests and we will plan a great getaway for you! Send us a message
WE WOULD LIKE TO USE OUR OWN CAR DURING THE WEEKEND INSTEAD OF LOCAL TRANSPORTATION. IS THAT POSSIBLE?
Yes, of course you can. We will exclude the costs of local transport from the price and the guide will accompany you on the different excursions in your own car. We have parking available.
I SEE THAT THE PRICE FOR THE WEEKENDS IS BASED ON A MINIMUM OF 2 PEOPLE, BUT I WOULD LIKE TO PARTICIPATE ALONE. IS THAT POSSIBLE?
Of course that’s possible! Just send an email or fill it in on the booking form. We could potentially have you join another group on the weekend of your choice. If you are the only participant, we will adjust the price!
CAN WE DO A WEEKEND TRIP FROM SATURDAY TO MONDAY?
This should not be a problem unless we already have bookings from Friday to Sunday. Just send an email or fill it in on the booking form. We will contact you.
CAN YOU ARRANGE FOR US AIRPORT SERVICE FROM KUMASI?
Yes, that’s possible. Just add the details on the booking form or send an email!
WE HAVE BOOKED AND PAID FOR THE WEEKEND BUT UNFORTUNATELY WE CANNOT COME. WHAT HAPPENS NOW?
You can change your booking to another date within the next 2 months. If this is not possible, we will refund 75% of your payment. The rest will be donated to the Banko Women Organization.
If you cancel less than 48 hours in advance and cannot reschedule to a time within 2 months, we can refund 50% of the amount.
